Our History
Establishment of the New Cairo Higher Institute for Administrative Sciences and Computer Science
The New Cairo Higher Institute for Administrative Sciences and Computer Science was established by Ministerial Decree No. 843, dated June 9, 2002. The Institute is located in the 7th District, First Settlement, New Cairo, and is affiliated with the Modern Science Association for Culture. The Institute includes two academic divisions: - Management Information Systems - Business Administration in Arabic and English
Military Service Deferment for Enrolled Students
Under Decision No. 80 of 2003, dated September 14, 2003, students enrolled at the New Cairo Higher Institute for Administrative Sciences and Computer Science are eligible for military service deferment in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Equivalency of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems
Ministerial Decree No. 280, dated April 28, 2005 A decree approving the equivalency of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems awarded by the Institute to the corresponding bachelor’s degree awarded by Egyptian universities.
Establishment of the Marketing and Foreign Trade Division in Arabic and English
Ministerial Decree No. 925, dated June 17, 2006 A decree establishing the Marketing and Foreign Trade Division, with programs offered in both Arabic and English.
Equivalency of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Arabic and English
Ministerial Decree No. 76, dated June 19, 2006 A decree approving the equivalency of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, offered in both Arabic and English, awarded by the Institute to the corresponding bachelor’s degree awarded by Egyptian universities.
Equivalency of the Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Foreign Trade
Ministerial Decree No. 175, dated October 5, 2010 A decree approving the equivalency of the Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Foreign Trade awarded by the Institute to the corresponding bachelor’s degree awarded by Egyptian universities.
Periodic Renewal of Bachelor’s Degree Equivalency Decisions
The equivalency decisions have been renewed periodically and remain valid to date under the following current decisions: 1. Management Information Systems Division Decision No. 267, dated August 10, 2022, and currently valid. 2. Business Administration Division in Arabic and English Decision No. 213, dated July 5, 2023, and currently valid. 3. Marketing and Foreign Trade Division Decision No. 267, dated August 10, 2022, and currently valid.
Approval of the Credit Hour
On December 15, 2024, the general framework for the credit-hour regulations was approved for the programs proposed by and endorsed by the Sector Committee across the following tracks: • Accounting and Auditing track. • Business Administration track. • Marketing track. • Business Information Systems track. This aims to enable students to obtain a Bachelor's degree under the credit-hour system.
